Black History Month Events organised by CRER

The Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER) has a number of events in and around Glasgow on for Black History Month this October 2013.

Highlights include their annual walking tours through Glasgow, examining its history with tobacco, slavery and abolition, led by Stephen Mullen. They start at Glasgow Cathedral at 1pm on 8th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th October 2013. Places need to be booked – contact Nadia on nadia@crer.org.uk or 0141 418 6530 to make a booking.

The Hunterian Library at the University of Glasgow is hosting a series of lunchtime talks which are free and open to the public (no booking necessary). They include Justin Livingstone on 22 October 2013 at 1pm talking about David Livingstone.
